SWIP Editors

The current SWIP editors are:

SWIP Editor Responsibilities

For each new SWIP that comes in, an editor does the following:
  • Read the SWIP to check if it is ready: sound and complete. The ideas must make technical sense, even if they don’t seem likely to get to final status.
  • The title should accurately describe the content.
  • Check the SWIP for language (spelling, grammar, sentence structure, etc.), markup (Github flavored Markdown), code style
If the SWIP isn’t deemed to be ready the editor will send it back to the author for revision, with specific instructions on what to fix before re-submitting.
Once the SWIP is ready for the repository the SWIP editor will:
  • Assign a SWIP number
  • Create a related SWIP GitBook entry
  • Create a related discord channel
Editors don’t pass judgment on SWIPs. They merely perform the administrative & editorial role impartially.
